Fury on the road, The King of Drift and the champion of the Need for Speed are the titles of one of the greatest sports cars in history, the Marussia.
The company of the same name was created in the 2007 by Nikolai Fomenko, a leading Russian pilot, actor and comedian, who had a dream: to create the first sports car "Made in Russia".
Despised by many who did not believe in him, his effort had its fruit and in the 2008 the first unit of the Marussia B1 was released, causing a tremendous impact among all those who saw it.
-What the fuck! I want to buy it and hit a march in Moscow. TheSpeed, alcohol and women!
Many also commented ...
-It seems one of the cars that come out of the Too Fast movie too Furious, one last one!
Marussia developed 2 types of sports:
The B1 was the first model that Marussia company He took to the market, becoming the first Russian-made sports car in history.
With an elegant design and equipped with an aluminum semi-monocoque, it has an ultra-charged V6 engine, with a power of 360HP and 4000 revolutions per minute. Reach the speed of 250 km / h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h, in only 3.2 seconds.
As a curiosity, only 2999 models of Marussia B1 have been manufactured and cost 126.000 dollars each.
In short, a flagship product of Russian automotive engineering.
With a futuristic design and with the highest safety standards of the market at the time of its production, the B2 is a sports car that dares everything.
With a more aggressive and dominant aspect, the founder of the company Nikolay Fomenko had a remarkable intervention in the project.
Technologically it is very similar to its predecessor: it has an ultra-charged V6 engine with a power of 420HP, superior to that of the Marussia B1 and can reach a speed of 310 km / h.
The 500 units that were manufactured were sold in a few months. Its price was 175.000 dollars.
Marussia B3 Project
One of the most ambitious projects of the Russian company, the B3 was equipped with a VNXUMX Marussia engine of 8 HP power, a true beast of the road.
A cheaper model than its competitors and with enormous potential.
So, why did not it take place?
Why Marussia closed in the 2014, despite its success and the beauty and quality of its models, poor management of its financial assets and problems in the F1, where Marussia participated during 3 seasons, caused the fall of the legend.
A misfortune for the Russian automotive scene, since Marussia had shown that Russia was capable of competing "with you" with the big foreign brands as Ferrari and Lamborghini.
Due to the rapid dissolution of the company, it is not possible to buy this Russian sports car in a dealership.
Even so, the memory of the greatness of Marussia will never be forgotten. And who knows, if in the future it will rise from the ashes like the Phoenix Bird.
